Nestled in the heart of the Atherton Tablelands, Ravenshoe Railway Company Ltd is a 100% volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to restoring and operating the historic Ravenshoe steam railway.


Our story is one of passion, perseverance, and community pride. What began as a small group of railway enthusiasts determined to preserve a slice of local history has become a keystone of Ravenshoe’s community.

To preserve and celebrate the rich railway heritage of Ravenshoe and the surrounding region, keeping the magic of steam rail alive for future generations. Our ultimate goal is to have the Ravenshoe – Tumoulin tourist heritage steam rail operational for visitors and locals to enjoy.
